Up The Creek Expeditions
Half Day Trips
Okefenokee at Night
Enter into the alligators’ lair. Start out at dusk and paddle into the darkness. Turn on the headlamps
to reflect glowing red eyes looking back at you. For the adventurous souls! $75/person
Lofton Creek
A beautiful hard wood creek in Yulee, Florida located thirty minutes from the shop. Paddle
at your own pace through this canopied and protected waterway surrounded by towering maple and cypress trees.
See if you can paddle far enough to reach "the Cypress Tree," soaring over 150 feet into the sky and worth
the paddle itself. Typically we enjoy two to three hours of paddling on
this easy year-round trip. $50/person
Dark Entry Creek
Nine miles of quiet tidal salt marsh. Paddle with the current through the winding creeks and the Saint Marys River.
Although we can never predict what Mother Nature will choose to show us, herons, ibis, wood storks, jumping fish,
and the occasional dolphin are frequent companions on this 2.5 - 3.5 hour trip. $50/person
Cumberland Sound
Eight miles of beautiful open water. Launch in the shadow of Civil War era Fort Clinch and paddle across
Cumberland Sound past Tiger Island's strange environment of cactus and palm trees up into the Saint Marys River.
From the beach and through the salt marshes come join us and get a chance to see dolphins, submarines, herons,
and ospreys as we paddle to our take-out in Saint Marys. $65/person
Roses Bluff
Our Roses Bluff two-hour trip is a paddle for all kayak levels. It is a wonderful quick trip
that gives you a good understanding of just how beautiful this area is and the nature that surrounds this coastal area.
This trip takes you through the local salt marshes of the St. Mary’s River and bluffs found on the Bells River.
We begin the trip in the St. Mary’s River and continue through a small passage in the marsh to the Bells river.
If you enjoy birding, you will enjoy this trip and you may even see some dolphins! $50/person
Sunset Marsh Paddle
A paddle and a sunset combine for the perfect evening. The cooler temperatures and tranquil waters highlight
the marsh's uniqueness. Intense red/orange hues pierce the cordgrass, birds singing from their hidden perches
surround the kayaks, and the reminders of civilization quickly disappear. We'll put in and paddle with the tide
through the winding salt marshes as the sun slowly sets. This is a true chance to see an entirely new side of this
lively ecosystem from the quiet of your kayak. A 2.5 to 3.5 hour paddle. $50/person
Marsh Exploration Tour
Foster your childs’ curiosity and create memorable experiences. Science teacher Becci Curry leads this expedition
into the vibrant marsh ecosystem. Discover and delight as you probe into the cordgrass to uncover its vast resources.
Parent and child paddle together in double kayaks on this 2 – 2.5 hour trip. $40/person
